Puerta de Madrid Retiro
RUN SOCIAL Madrid gather at the entrance of Puerta de Madrid Retiro, every other Weds for Wednesday Club, our free bi-weekly 5k-10k social runs in Madrid. Running a loop around the centre piece of Madrid enables our Community Leaders and RUNSOC Members to enjoy some 'urban greenery' in one of Europe's most desirable cities. A fantastically flat loop, this RUNSOC Madrid is the envy of every other club.
RUNSOC Madrid run bi-weeky on Wednesday's. RUNSOC Madrid meet and start times will change seasonally to accommodate for the weather. Please keep an eye on the Madrid Community group for updates, and for any questions please reach out to your Community Leader.
RUNSOC Madrid offers free running events of a 5k loop around the Puerta de Madrid Retiro (with a 2nd circuit for the more ambitious) with an average pace of 30 mins per 5k. 'Todo bien' on the day? Then just find a RUNSOC member to carry plodding away, and just keep going, and going, and going, and going... until you've got desired distance in!
Madrid RUNSOC is run by our volunteer teams and Community Leaders who will meet you outside of the Puerta de Madrid Retiro from 7pm, and ready to boot at 7.20pm for the start of the run.
Please show your appreciation to the founding Community Leader, George Cox. None of this could happen without his voluntary commitment and charitable approach to launching and leading RUNSOC Madrid.

George is a regular runner and knows his Madrid routes having signed up to an incredible challenge of 3 marathons in 3 weeks in '23! George is the founding member of the Madrid club and is the reason the club exists in the City (thanks George!). George's onboard and behind the '99% Sober' idea after hearing about RUN SOCIAL on a podcast and removing the pressures of alcohol for young adults socialising, and create a space to hangout with new people whilst doing something good for themselves
George is regularly keeping us up to date with his running escapeds and you can follow this RUN SOCIAL legend on his Instagram. Why not pop this legend a follow and spread the word?
