RUN SOCIAL Newcastle starting off by The Tipsy Toad (bag drop and toilets available), just north of the River Tyne close to Heaton Park. We'll be out every Wednesday, running carefree and safely around the well lit Heaton Road. RUNSOC Newcastle meet on Heaton Road just South-Eastern most corner of the park, a short walk from Chillingham Road or Byker stations for ease of access, there is also free parking on Heaton Road, by The Tipsy Toad and Sambuca in Heaton Park.

The route we have is a 5k Loop of Heaton, and we finish where we start offering a space for everyone to catch up after the run and an opportunity for us to focus on the 'Social part of RUNSOC. If you're training for something or just in the mood for some extra KMs, please feel free to carry on and get your steps in!

RUNSOC Newcastle is led by Aoife and Georgia who have previously ran the GNR, and multiple other races. Aoife is the Founder of @croissantrunclubnewcastle (check them out here for Sunday runs and croissants!) and member of a local running club. Georgia is studying in Newcastle in Sports Rehabilitation Therapy and is always on hand to dish out any advice or guidance that she can!

  

"We just want to create a space and community of people who love running, and create a way to meet new people" Aoife said when starting the community in Newcastle, which lives by our RUNSOC values to encourage people to do good things for themselves.  RUNSOC's wider UK community and social running events are there to create an  space away from the regular pressures of alcohol in most City's social circles, check out our '99% Sober' page for more info on why exist and why we're here.
